LPS guarantees deposits up to Rp2 billion per depositor per bank (since 13 October 2008). A deposit is only covered if it meets the '3T' test: recorded in the bank's books, its interest rate does not exceed the LPS guarantee rate (Tingkat Bunga Penjaminan; 3.75% for rupiah deposits at commercial banks for 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Jan 2027), and the depositor did not cause the bank's failure.
