Unconfirmed. Bangladesh Bank's deposit-insurance FAQ still states cover of up to BDT 100,000 (principal plus interest) per depositor per bank under the Bank Deposit Insurance Act 2000. The press (e.g. The Daily Star) reports a new Deposit Protection law raising the limit to Tk 2 lakh (BDT 200,000), but we found no official Bangladesh Bank page confirming the new limit, so it is left as unknown.
